Booth C6818 MultiDyne’s VF-9000 fiber transport platform is making its North American debut. Available in 18- or 36-channel versions, the VF-9000 aims to provide higher signal density, format flexibility and operational versatility in a fiber transport frame. With the VF-9000, users can support up to 36 video signal conversions across HD, 3Gpbs and 12G from a single unit, with automatic configuration of all inputs and outputs based on parameters. The system has a dual-transmit mode that can convert two BNC copper connections to video inputs, as well as a dual-receiver mode where the BNCs automatically convert to video outputs. Transceiver SFPs are also supported. In addition, a multiplexer feature combines 18 signals over one single-mode fiber. VF-9000 users can now replace video with an Ethernet fiber converter, SYNC, HDMI-to-SDI, audio or data. Additional fiber and non-fiber conversion cards are expected to become available.
