Booth SL8024 Genelec’s 8430A SAM studio monitor enables direct monitoring of audio over IP stream content and supports AES67 and Ravenna standards. It offers electro-acoustic features such as Genelec MDE and DCW technologies, a flow-optimized reflex port, very low distortion, high SPL, wide bandwidth and uncolored response in a very compact enclosure, the company says. The 8430 uses the Genelec Loudspeaker Manager control network and software that allows adjustments of all aspects of monitor settings and full multiple loudspeaker system control. Genelec AutoCal automatically ensures that every monitor on the network is aligned for level and timing, as well as being compensated for room response anomalies.
The 8430 supports IEEE 1522 version 2 precision time protocol-based audio clock synchronization. Connectivity for an audio over IP signal is via an XLR-housed RJ-45 connector, and a standard XLR connector is used for a standard balanced analog signal.
