Booth C6025 Teradek has announced a new line of Cube encoders featuring an upgrade that adds both HEVC (H.265) and AVC (H.264) compression, as well as a choice of HD (Cube 700) and UHD (Cube 800) resolution support.

Both the Cube 700 and Cube 800 stream high-quality video content at a reduced bandwidth needed for AVC compression. The models can switch between AVC and HEVC compression. They are compatible with Teradek’s Core and its new transcoding engine, enabling HEVC encoding when streaming to Core, while delivering AVC to a destination. Additional features include dual input, compatibility with the new Bond module and available with GigE and dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

The 700 series supports up to 1080p60 streaming resolution. The 800 series supports up to 2160p60 resolution. Both models are housed in the Cube 655 chassis and require 6W of power.
